Every now and then, I see a product that sparks my interest because of its useability. Sometimes, they are duds, and sometimes, they are great, like this Wolfbox Tire Inflator. Note: I was sent this product to test and demonstrate to my followers and viewers. I have not been paid to promote this product, though I may earn a commission if someone buys one due to this review.

As we all know today’s cars, many do not come with spare tires, just dinky inflator kits, often with just a can of fix a flat.  And while today’s tires are tougher than they were several years ago, you will still need to add air to our tires. We don’t have a home air compressor or, worse yet, while on the road and not near a service station that often has pay to inflate, and that inflator rarely works, and you can’t get your money back when it does nothing but releases air from your tires.

I have found a sturdy air pump that can handle even the biggest off-road tires, mini-car tires, or anything else you might need to inflate with air. The Wolfbox MegaFlow 24 Pro Portable Tire Inflator is a great tool that provides air for inflating things. It operates as a trouble light and a power bank due to its rechargeable battery, which powers the unit.

Let’s take a look at this handy air compressor. First, it comes in a nicely designed zip-up woven fiber hard-sided carry box with a handle. This keeps it and all its parts together in one place, secure and convenient for when you need them.

It is not light; it weighs 5.4 pounds in its case. While that may seem more than some of the smaller handheld air compressor units that have been all over social media recently, I would rather have a strong, sturdy unit that will quickly fill the tires than a punny unit that will struggle to do the job.

The Wolf box MegaFlow 24 features 58 Liters per minute of airflow. It is built with heavy-duty all-aluminum and produces the air pressure in its dual cylinders to quickly inflate almost anything, including those 37-inch off-road tires, with its 14.55 mm 20-inch-long air hose.

This tire inflator offers a dual power supply. You can plug it in to the car’s cigarette lighter outlet using the supplied eleven-foot cord (the round hole that today is rarely used today, here is finally something to plug into it.) Or it will run on its own internal 1200 mAh high-capacity battery that will stay charged for up to 180 days. That can be charged via the 12v cigarette lighter outlet with its 45W fast charge. Or a USB-C cord (also supplied), though most of us have a couple hanging about.

The MegaFlow 24 can inflate auto tires, motorcycle tires, bicycle tires, basketballs, and other items that need to be inflated, and you can choose PSI or BAR (?) All are displayed clearly with an LCD screen on the front of the unit. However, I found it hard to see the display in bright sunlight.  The nine-inch-tall unit has a clear plastic front that shows off the circuit board that controls the unit behind a sturdy plastic case.  The display panel is at the top of the unit, while the soft button controls are located below, with a central Power Switch, mode button, PSI button, and plus or minus buttons to increase or decrease your desired air pressure.

Using the unit is simple.  Firmly attach the hose and tire to the unit. Find the tire pressure that your tire is supposed to run. Turn on the unit. Using the (M) button on the upper left, set it to automobile (or other; the icons for auto, motorcycle, bike, or ball are on the top of the screen). Set the (PSI) button, upper right, for PSI, BAR, KPA, or Kg/cm2, depending on what measure you are inflating by.  Then, you set the desired pressure by using the lower left (-) and right (+) buttons.  When you are done, push the center power button once again. The unit will start and inflate to the desired pressure. Once finished, the unit will stop inflating, preventing overinflation. Be aware that the connector to the tire may be too hot to touch, so wear gloves (not provided) or something else to release the hose from your tire pressure valve.  And you are ready to roll.

I have found that this product works quickly and efficiently and is pretty easy to use (except if it is in direct sunlight and I cannot see the numbers on the display screen).

The unit comes with an 18-month warranty, and if you snoop around on the site, you can get additional coverage for registering your purchased product. Have your order number and where you bought it from ready.

Price – While the Wolfbox site gives you a price, you can look for the best deal.  At this time, there was an additional $20 discount if you click the button and buy directly from Wolfbox, which was lower than eBay or Amazon. Plus, it included free shipping.  Wolfbox also has a rewards program called Wolfgang that gives you points for products you buy from them, which relates to future discounts on your Wolfbox purchases. Wolfbox offers a variety of dashcams, a wall-mounted home EV Charger, floor mats, a jump starter, a car fridge, and more. If for no other reason than fun, check them out at WolfBox.com.
